Impending sale of King's Mead School buildings

.

Westminster Healthcare confirmed today that the buildings are to be sold to a small local developer (Sun Line Properties, Brighton) who will raze them to the ground and build retirement homes or somesuch. The developer is about to submit an application for planning permission to the council.

WHC are not looking  for another buyer and the exchange will take place at some time in the next 2 months.  WHC stated that the developer (who is likely to be aware that the council have indicated that they will look favourably on applications which incorporate a future for the chapel building) has apparently said that he is happy for others to take over the chapel provided that it is not allowed simply to fall down (thereby lowering the value of any new houses).   If anyone has any bright ideas please feel free to air them!
